Alright, So this weekend, I took Jon's advice and removed the dependency on Json.net, System.Data and System.Data.Sqlite.
The app size is now 4.3 MB. Biggest dlls now are mscorlib => 1258 KB System.dll => 475 KB Mono.Android => 695 KB All the assemblies now are only .Net assemblies, so it looks like not much more I can do at this time. Size reduced from 5.4 to 4.3 which is not bad, but could be smaller. Would love to get near 3 mb.
