Hello Dominik If those are your two choices, my recommendation would be to use .NET 2 Web Services, which is complete and fairly stable. Alternatively, there are other approaches you might want to consider, such as Protocol Buffers: http://code.google.com/p/protobuf/
We're still assessing our plans for how to proceed with WCF; however, we currently have no plans to implement new WCF features, and will primarily focus any future efforts into improve the subset of WCF features that are useful to Mono for Android and MonoTouch customers. If you have tried our WCF stack and are mostly interested in when you will see a particular issue fixed, please make sure that a bug has been filed against the WCF component for the issue you're encountering: http://bugzilla.xamarin.com/enter_bug.cgi?product=Class%20Libraries Hope that helps Joseph On Mon, Oct 17, 2011 at 8:02 AM, moelski <domi...@logview.info> wrote: > Hi ! > > Actually I have to decide between WCF and .net2 Web Service to build a new > webservice I would like to use with MonoAndroid (and later MonoTouch). > > So can you give us an update when WCF is out of Alpha state?
