Folks, I was able to make the JDBC client connect to MonetDB server after some editing. This became an issue with the new build. Last week I didn't have to do anything after MonetDB was installed to make client connections work. With the new build you will need to do some editing MAPI_OPEN=TRUE etc to make it work.
In short, client connections work but NOT by default like the old build. But I am glad that I know how to make it work now.
