I’ve just tried emailing JMGDOC as well. Sometimes an email from a PAUSE
admin prompts a reply (I offered to make the change on his, which makes
it easier for him to say "yeah, sure, go ahead").

If we don’t hear back from him in a couple of weeks, I’ll give you
co-maint, with the caveat that he can choose to remove that later, if it
turns out he wasn’t happy for co-maint to be granted (not sure that’s
ever happened, but just FYI).
That's absolutely fine; he'll be more than welcome to have it back once
I've fixed the bugs :)
