Hi modules@, Wes and David, I've seen on Neil's page (http://neilb.org/adoption/) that SNMP and Net-SNMP are a candidates for adoption. Currently I'm busy with other tasks, and if in the meantime someone comes around - I would move out of the way.
When I'm finished with the current tasklist: * List::MoreUtils (-> Config::AutoConf, tests, …) * Unix::Statgrab with Lib::Log4CPlus (incl. Log::Any adaptors) * C++ support in EU::CB + C::AC * full automated p5-* packaging in pkgsrc with Packaging::Tools Then I start with rewriting an snmp library for smart-snmpd (see http://www.netbsd.org/~sno/smart-snmpd/) to supersede snmp++ (with that, boost asio and an own snmp-agent lib comes along). I will be very happy to have from beginning a perl binding for the new library and because of SNMP and ASN.1 knowledge I would take responsibility for SNMP and Net-SNMP, too. That's it - if you want, tell me your decision. Cheers -- Jens Rehsack pkgsrc, Perl5 rehs...@cpan.org
