Indeed.  To quote my original mail:

I now see that it is ambiguous -- I meant
    ({trademarked-as + often-spelt-as} PERFORM)
instead of
    (trademarked) and (often spelt-as PERFORM)

Pardon my suboptimal English. :(

The original intent is to advice against using the common verb 'Perform',
and instead either capitalize it (as an abbreviation or proper name), or
qualify it somehow, by prefixing it with ::Informix.

It is true that DBIx::Informix will look like DBD::Informix-specific.
However I cannot easily think of a better name.
