Andreas: Yeah, I guess I have some evidence, but I'm not sure whose bug it is. I've been waiting since last year to be able to fix the meta data and DSLIP settings for some of my modules, but they don't show in the list:
Sys::Ptrace File::DirSync Net::DNAT Am I doing something wrong? Or am I supposed to wait for approval from something? The goal is to perform this syncronization process as quickly as possible with as few stats and reads and writes as possible. It can be used for many purposes, but I use it to avoid accessing commonly needed files across a slow NFS mount by using File::DirSync to sync everything to a local hard drive. It can gaurantee exact file structure consistency within the entire descend of two directories for hundreds of megabytes of files, directories, and symlinks within a few milliseconds. enteredby: BBB (Rob Brown) enteredon: Wed Dec 5 17:54:21 2001 GMT The resulting entry would be: File:: ::DirSync bdpOp Syncronize two directories rapidly BBB Thanks for registering, The Pause Team PS: The following links are only valid for module list maintainers: Registration form with editing capabilities: https://pause.perl.org/pause/authenquery?ACTION=add_mod&USERID=76200000_d00a0654fddfe405&SUBMIT_pause99_add_mod_preview=1 Immediate (one click) registration: https://pause.perl.org/pause/authenquery?ACTION=add_mod&USERID=76200000_d00a0654fddfe405&SUBMIT_pause99_add_mod_insertit=1 ---------- Original message ---------- Return-Path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Received: from onion.perl.org (onion.valueclick.com [209.85.157.220]) by mail.roobik.com (Postfix) with SMTP id B74CA34D for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Sat, 2 Feb 2002 11:42:05 -0700 (MST) Received: (qmail 68034 invoked by uid 1008); 2 Feb 2002 18:40:51 -0000 Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Received: (qmail 68023 invoked by uid 76); 2 Feb 2002 18:40:51 -0000 Received: from [EMAIL PROTECTED] (HELO pause.perl.org) (212.40.160.59) by onion.perl.org (qpsmtpd/0.06) with SMTP; Sat Feb 2 18:40:51 2002 -0000 Received: (from nobody@localhost) by pause.perl.org (8.9.3/8.9.3) id TAA08048; Sat, 2 Feb 2002 19:40:47 +0100 Date: Sat, 2 Feb 2002 19:40:47 +0100 Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Content-Type: Text/Plain; Charset=3DISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit MIME-Version: 1.0 Subject: Module submission Net::DNAT From: "Perl Authors Upload Server" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] The following module was proposed for inclusion in the Module List: modid: Net::DNAT DSLIP: adpOp description: DNAT Layered Packet Switching Load Balancer userid: BBB (Rob Brown) chapterid: 5 (Networking_Devices_IPC) communities: http://www.f5networks.com/BIGIP5K/BIGIP5KFAQ.html http://aspn.activestate.com/ASPN/Mail/Message/modperl/302681 similar: rationale: Roughly based on the concept of F5's BIG-IP=AE Accelerator, it is intended to perform psuedo layered packet switching for incoming requests. This is mainly for developmental purposes or testing functionality for applications designed for the BIG-IP=AE; however, it is much slower in execution. It does not handle over 1000 hits/sec very well, (like the BIG-IP=AE does), because it is actually implemented like a proxy server. But my module is less expensive (free). This module can also make it easy to combine the power and speed of mod_perl handlers with the security of suExec for many users on one machine. (This used to be extremely difficult to utilize simultaneously.) It is perfect for redirecting HTTP requests to different pools of machines behind a firewall based on its URL via Destination Network Address Translation. The original source IP Address and Port is retained so Apache logging and CGI programs will still execute accurately. enteredby: BBB (Rob Brown) enteredon: Sat Feb 2 18:40:47 2002 GMT The resulting entry would be: Net:: ::DNAT adpOp DNAT Layered Packet Switching Load Balancer BBB Thanks for registering, The Pause Team PS: The following links are only valid for module list maintainers: Registration form with editing capabilities: https://pause.perl.org/pause/authenquery?ACTION=3Dadd_mod&USERID=3Dd50000_b7cdd968eb09ac0d&SUBMIT_pause99_add_mod_preview=3D1 Immediate (one click) registration: https://pause.perl.org/pause/authenquery?ACTION=3Dadd_mod&USERID=3Dd50000_b7cdd968eb09ac0d&SUBMIT_pause99_add_mod_insertit=3D1
