The following module was proposed for inclusion in the Module List:
modid: Mail::CheckList DSLIP: idpOp description: Check validation of list of email-addresses userid: HOLSTEN (Andrea Holstein) chapterid: 19 (Mail_and_Usenet_News) communities: similar: Mail::CheckUser Email::Valid rationale: This module will wrap an object oriented way to check whole a list of a mail addresses for validation. So it is a wrapper around Mail::CheckUser or Email::Valid. In Addition to these modules, it allows to define a person's name to every email. It can check, wether emails und person's names are in an unarbitrary relation. It's helpful e.g. to take a list of friends and their corresponding email addresses by a cgi-formular. Other useful names for the functionality of this module would be: Mail::CheckList, Mail::CheckUserList, Mail::CheckUser::List, Mail::ValidateList, Mail::Valid::List or Email::Valid::List. I hope, Mail::CheckList is a fair compromis between the existing namespace and the functionality. I think it's important, that Check or Valid is in the module name, because this module won't store an email address list, neither to send mail to an email address list. It's only to check to vality of the addresses and names. Question: I found two similary modules Mail::CheckUser and Email::Valid. Is there a common advice, which one should be preferred. enteredby: HOLSTEN (Andrea Holstein) enteredon: Wed Oct 24 14:35:04 2001 GMT The resulting entry would be: Mail:: ::CheckList idpOp Check validation of list of email-addresses HOLSTEN Thanks for registering, The Pause Team PS: The following links are only valid for module list maintainers: Registration form with editing capabilities: https://pause.perl.org/pause/authenquery?ACTION=add_mod&USERID=3d100000_a647548161b29b2f&SUBMIT_pause99_add_mod_preview=1 Immediate (one click) registration: https://pause.perl.org/pause/authenquery?ACTION=add_mod&USERID=3d100000_a647548161b29b2f&SUBMIT_pause99_add_mod_insertit=1
