Does IO::Socket::IP look like it'll help you? I am at this very moment working on getting proper IPv6 handling into core perl - bleadperl's Socket.xs already has {pack,unpack}_sockaddr_in6, and I am working on getaddrinfo / getnameinfo now. I hope to be able to have IO::Socket::IP in core by 5.14. -- Paul "LeoNerd" Evans leon...@leonerd.org.uk ICQ# 4135350 | Registered Linux# 179460 http://www.leonerd.org.uk/
