For the record this is not necessarily true.
However, no proper conceptual request has been made in PMD, with a thorough outline of what and how this should work.
Until that happens you are quite correct that no one in pmdev will put any effort in to it.
I for one find the idea interesting and possible a worthy addition to the monastery, but I would have to review the debate that has not yet occurred to come to any real conclusions.
