I'm maintaining a module, CGI::Compress::Gzip, which does auto-compressed output at for CGI scripts. The module works very well for me under Linux, BSD and MacOSX, but I keep getting automated reports from CPANPLUS that the module fails under Solaris and/or Windows.

I've tried replying to the bug report emails asking questions about the environment but, not surprisingly, I haven't gotten an answer. I don't have easy access to a Solaris or Windows environment for testing Perl modules, so I have not been able to reproduce the bug reports.

How do others out there deal with module maintenance for platforms you don't support locally?
