There is a kind of layer that provides still support for v4l1. You will than need a patch for the mjpegtools to work again: You find the patch from Martin von Gagern here: http://sourceforge.net/p/mjpeg/patches/48/ You also need to install the v4l1 support library (or how they call it) So try installing the library and development library, and than apply the patch to the mjpeg source and compile it. I know that this just working around the problem that lavrec does not support v4l2.
