So this means it can now find the card, that's good news. The kernelspace-userspace interface is somewhat limited in information it can give back about what exactly is invalid about the settings. Luckily, the kernel driver tends to tell you itself (dmesg). That would tell you what is wrong exactly, you can adapt that and then try again.
