Hello you all, I have posted before in the same subject, and my problem has not been resolved yet. In the mean time I compiled mjpegtools (1.9.0rc2), eliminated a persistent ALSA error by getting rid of fc3 alsa installation and installing a compiled version. Sound works well with other applications (xmms in memmap or not memmep mode, mplayer and audacity, all configured to use ALSA sound. lavplay or glavplay however crashes unless I use the -U option, and even then, no sound comes out. avi file recorded with lavrec plays well, including audio, with mplayer.
I tried LAV_AUDIO_DEV=default and export $LAV_AUDIO_DEV before lavplay command to no avail. Can anybody please help? I'll be traveling during next week, so may not be able to test suggestions I receive immediately.
