Jean, this may be totally unrelated, but I recently read something about the different way 2.6.20 kernels use modules causing some problems with older-type pci boards. I don't remember the details, but I do remember thinking an 'ouch' and wondering if it would affect my DV10+. It sounded as though it would. If you haven't tried it already, could you install a 2.6.19 kernel and see if that cures the problem?
