Hello all,

I am wanting to upgrade my computer so that I can actually use my DC30+
in Linux. Lately, though, it seems that there may be issues with the
very popular NVidia PCI motherboard chips (see "Problems loading driver
for Iomega Buz").

Is anyone successfully using motherboards with NVidia chips? If so,
which chipsets?

Are Intel and SiS chips still recommended? If so, which chipsets?

What other modern chips are known to work?

Does anyone have any suggestions for video capture cards that aren't so
picky about who manufactured the PCI chips? I would specifically like
something similar to the Zoran boards so that I can do frame level
editing without losing quality (and time from having to transcode the
capture).

Thank you.
Peter
