I do have, now that I think of it, a disk (those removable IDE drive kits are great for having multiple systems/distributions around) with 2.95.4 (Slackware 10 uses it as I recall). Too late now to fire up the system and give it a try. I have built the cvs version of mjpegtools on the system a few weeks ago without any problems though. > says libgcc1 doenst support GCC_3.3, which I would think is more of a > debian woody gcc install issue. I agree - there's something awry with the gcc/g++ setup (and I see from your following posting) that you moved the stdc++ stuff aside and things started working (not succeeding - just running ;)) > So I'm trying to find another build enviroment (I have a gentoo box, but > that seems to cough up a lung on autogen.sh, let alone getting any > further @[EMAIL PROTECTED] ). Could I beg binaries? I've had great success with the SuSE as far as a build environment. > libtool --version > ltmain.sh (GNU libtool) 1.5.6 (1.1220.2.95 2004/04/11 05:50:42) Debian: Ok - that's fine. Just one of those things worth checking on - libtool can reach out and bite (so can automake ;)). > > The other question (as an aside) is how was the DTS file created? I'll have to see if I can get ffmpeg's AC3 files working - DVD Studio Pro rejects them (channel rematrixing info is missing or incorrect), didn't know they were doing anything with DTS. Using DTS would be a good excuse to get a dual layer burner though since you're giving up quite a chunk of bit budget for audio ;) (Downside with the dual layer media, aside from price, is spotty compatibility with settop boxes according to the articles I've been reading). > Any insight into Debian's issues or static binaries would be a great > help, thanks for your time already. Some of the other developers use Debian as I recall - that's why the problems mentioned earlier in the evening caught me by surprise. > Bwhahaha, got it by moving /usr/local/lib/libstdc++* elsewhere during > make install. Perhaps it's necessary to use the '-L' option with mplex to specify the format of the file? --lpcm-params | -L samppersec:chan:bits [, samppersec:chan:bits] I've not used PCM audio recently so I'm a bit hazy on the subject.
