Hi there all, I'm new to the list, so let me just start by saying thanks to all the folks that have worked on mjpeg tools and the unified zoran driver - it's good stuff!
Anyway, I picked up a dirt cheap iomega buz card of ebay a month or two ago, and for the last week I have been trying to get it to work under Linux (2.4.27) on a Beige G3 PowerMac. After reading through the zoran datasheets and some hacking, I've bodgied the driver to the point where the jpeg codec can run (compression only) without instantly locking up the machine, although the output from lavrec looks a little weird when played using mplayer (the colours are a bit spastic) - I haven't tried any other players yet. So I've got a few questions - - Is this the right list to talk about this stuff? - Has anyone else tried to get a buz (or similar) working on PPC hardware under linux (this card works fine on MacOS on this machine) - Should patches be submitted here?
