xawtv has for that kind of problems some switches like starting with -noXXXXX try those command line switches. Some video card require that you use -novx. Your other problem with the LML33 is solved ? Usually you should download the cvs version of the zoran driver to get the card working with the 2.6.x kernels. Usually we recomend a "stock" kernel from the kernel.org.
