I have used mpgtx to demux files but have not explored beyond that. Another good program for demuxing (and it does an excellent job with TS (Transport Streams) is Project X - you can read about and download that (it's a Java program) at: http://www.lucike.info/page_projectx.htm I use that to deal with the TS files I capture from the HDTV receiver via a IEEE1394 cable.
