        Remember - one of those cpus is being used by yuvdenoise...

        The parallelism in mpeg2enc is fairly coarse too so using 2 cpus does
        not translate exactly into 2x the encoding rate.

        Then too even cheap systems today (Athlon-XP3000) have more cpu power
        in a single cpu than the dual P3s of yesterday.

        That might help a little - newer compiler could generate better code 
        but I think any improvement is going to be in the few percent range
        and not suddenly bring about 10 frames/sec.

        If you have the diskspace you could denoise to a file and then run
        mpeg2enc - that way they wouldn't be competing for the cpus.   Might
        speed things up at the cost of some temp space.
