AH, ok - I was hoping my memory hadn't developed a parity error ;) But, you also may be right... Believe it or not I've created a DVD that hardware/standalone players have absolutely no trouble with but software players (such as Ogle and Apple's DVD Player) either spew errors about or artifact badly. I think Xine will do ok since it uses libmpeg2 for the decoding. A query has been sent asking if an option can be added to disable DPME upon request. It is not required to implement DPME in the no B frame case and it seems that some _software_ players do not implment DP.
