-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Testing out the 0.9.5 (cvs) version of driver-zoran in slackware-9.1 (actually slackware-current as of Oct 10, 2003, but the changes are mostly security patches to ssl)
kernel, motherboard, and capture card: 2.4.22-smp, dual pIII, iomega buz downloaded latest versions of mjpeg project, rebuilt all the dependancies, then rebuilt mjpegtools: MA-Zoran-0.0.4 mpeg2dec-0.2.1-mjpegtools-0.7.1 libmovtar-0.1.3 quicktime4linux-1.4-patched-2 mjpegtools-1.6.1.90 driver-zoran is cvs, dated 20030929; got it with: cvs -d:pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvsroot/mjpeg login cvs -z3 -d:pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvsroot/mjpeg co -r \ ZORAN_VIDEODEV_2 -d driver-zoran-0.9.x driver-zoran and rebuilt & installed that, too. lavrec command (as root): lavrec -fa -iN -t700 -d1 -q100 test10avi (I was trying to make a really big file to see if it would work) Then I got a kernel panic! ksymoops gives a warning, so if this looks flaky, I'll reproduce it and do it again. BTW, is there a way to capture the data on the screen without having to write it all down and type it in? Last time I did this, there were some debugging options appended to the lavrec command. If you want me to use them, tell me what they are and this time I'll put them in my readme for driver-zoran! Hope this helps. thanks for your hard work developing this!! Anyhow, here is what I saw on the screen kernel BUG at sched.c:564! ins 16 del:0 ae:0 td1=0.008 td2=0.025 invalid operand:0000 CPU: 1 EIP: 0010[<c01197a7>] Not Tainted EFLAGS:00010086 eax:00000018 ebx:00000020 ecx:00000092 edx:f6ef3f7c esi:c1c12000 edi:00000001 ebp:c1c13c34 esp:c1c1dc00 ds:0018 es:0018 ss:0018 Process Swapper (pid:0, stackpage=c1c13000) Stack: c03333ea 0000002f 00000000 00000001 00000000 0000000a 00000000 c1c12000 0000012c f8b8678c f8b8678c c1c12000 00005465 00000000 f8b61362 00001770 00000000 00000049 f8b8678c 00000000 00000003 00000049 f8b62538 f8b866a4 Call Trace [<f8b8678c>] [<f8b8678c>] [<f8b61362>] [<f8b8678c>] [<f8b62538>] [<f8b866a4>] [<f8b61c2c>] [<f8b866a4>] [<f8b6115a>] [<f8b8678c>] [<f8b61d0e>] [<f8b866a4>] [<f8b5df13>] [<f8b866e4>] [<f8b866a4>] [<f8b5ceab>] [<f8b866a4>] [<f8b866e4>] [<f8b5df13>] [<f8b866a4>] [<c0109129>] [<c01c89ae>] [<c01c89ae>] [<c01c0d63>] [<c01c0dab>] [<f8b866a4>] [<f8b5e26d>] [<f8b866a4>] [<f8b5da14>] [<f8b866a4>] [<c01e8899>] [<f8b994c2>] [<f8b78a11>] [<f8b866a0>] [<f8b7aeb4>] [<f8b866a0>] [<f8b7a417>] [<f8b866a0>] [<c01c89a3>] [<f8b866a0>] [<f8b7aa14>] [<f8b866a0>] [<c01c0d63>] [<c01c0ddb>] [<c01c23cd>] [<c0109129>] [<f8b866a0>] [<c0109348>] [<c01053e0>] [<c010bed8>] [<c01053e0>] [<c010540c>] [<c01054a2>] [<c011d045>] [<c011d2b0>] code: 0f 0b 34 02 e2 33 33 c0 e9 56 fb ff ff 0f 0b 2d 02 e2 33 33 <0>Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!
