        Something else is wrong also (and it might be the same program
        that is changing Ib to Ip).   The XM2AR tag has been obsolete for
        eons - nothing in a recent mjpegtools program will add that (or
        pay attention to it ;)).

        I have not looked at the debug/ info you've made available but 
        what are the other components being used for?   Something not
        doable with the utilities in mjegtools?   If that's not the case
        then substituting for the other components would probably solve
        the problem.
