I prefer ReiserFS, for few reasons:
1. No messing with kernel patches, I use kernel 2.4.20
2. Uses disk space efficiently.
3. Deletes big files allot faster than any other file system.
4. Recent release is reliable, although there were known issues with it in the past but now its seems all are fixed.
I've been using it for around a year without problems. Several of my machines been going down unexpectedly, many times, and yet no file system corruption, no missing files. Ext3 supposed to be reliable but from my experience, many times after power loss, the machine would come back up with corrupted file system. Also when deleting large files, I dont have wait as much as with Ext2/3, I think its very important factor for multimedia. Also if you'll check comparisons, XFS and ReiserFS almost no differ in performance except for file deletion part.
