Which Daewoo do you have?

Hmmh, my Daewoo 2000 and Daewoo 6000 play everything, including very 
strange things. The 2000 and 6000 have no problems with XSVCDs and 
bitrates of 6000 (vbr) and with the 6000 you can even go higher.

If you don't like a daewoo have a look at the Mustek 562 or Yukai 
562. I read that this player plays a lot of formats, while the menu 
could be better. Newer 562 probably cannot be flashed.

Remember the mentioned models use different components, which means 
you have to test it, what works with *your* dvd-player. There are 
also a lot of clones of the mentioned players above.
