Yes, I see this om TMF and MTV too. But the lighter the picture is, the
more apparent the bands.

I updated a lot last weekend:

1) I removed my Hauppauge tv card, because I wasn't using it anymore and
moved the DC10+ card to another PCI slot far away from any interference
sources. When I first saw the bands after that, I thought the card had
caught some static charge from me moving it. After testing with lavrec
without xawtv running the problem wasn't there so it couldn't be a
hardware problem.

2) I upgraded to XFree86 4.3, because some KDE 3.1 packages required it.
(Damn Mandrake Cooker dependancy hell ;-)

3) I upgraded to version 0.9.3 of the zoran driver, but I can't remember
if I upgraded before or after I spotted the problems. It must be after,
because I just checked out and compiled 0.9.2 and it shows the same
problem.

I will try moving back to XFree86 4.2 and see if the problem persists.

Kind regards,

Bert
