So mpeg2enc -f 4 defaults to -S 730, right? Are the -f 5 defaults the same?
The values are the same for -f 1/2 VCD, and -f 4/5.
Is there a default for the -B?
The default audio bitrate for VCD 224kBit/sec.
Shouldn't mpeg2enc -f 4 default to -B 260 because there is 1-2% mplex information overhead to be added to the 224 kb/s audio? Or is -B 260 the default already?
I guess it is better to set the SVCD segment size with mpeg2enc -S -B and let mplex automatically split the file rather than forcing mplex -S with or without -M, right? Do the SVCDs play correctly on DVD players if the splitting is forced with mplex -S?
