Ok sorry for my big delay in answer this message but just now i get the chance. Iam trying to understand everything that you send in message.. lets go: Now iam using the cvs version to, Hei VERY GOOD JOB this last 3weeks version in cvs with the quadropro nvidia video card.. god. The images are perfect.. From my VCR and DVD is possible to watch using NTSC output.. and the image is perfect.. incredible perfect. Thanks so much for the job.. Now back to my question:
>> Around line 363 in saa7110.c, you'll find all the settings that are >>being made for setting the current norm. The best thing I can think of >>is to just test out various settings. It's only 3 bytes (3x8=24 >>settings). OK.. exactly what mean this "(3x8=24)"? I cant understand this..
>> http://wwws.semiconductors.philips.com/acrobat/datasheets/SAA7110_A_1.pdf >>is the datasheet of the chip, the meaning of above bytes are explained in >>page 31.Ok.. again.. I downloaded the manual, something I can understand.. but almost all is "obscure" to me.
A question.. using this manual try explain this " 3x8 = 24 various settings" to test or try to do a fast explanation of how to understand this manual or the tables and how the manual affect the tvnorms in saa7110.c file that I will be glad to test everything one by one.. No problem I do this. And maybe this explanation ( if possible ) that you send to list, can be the basic parameters for us that don’t have the standards NTSC or PAL systems to try do this board work in another formats.. Maybe more things to increase the usability of this card.. And help the development of this Brilliant work.
Just for curiosity: In last saa7110.c file I edited the 362 line, I tried to change the "0x0F, 0x50" to "0x0F, 0x10" and nothing happens, I tried a lot of values the the values edges that the the 362 like agree but without changes are: "0x0F, 0x40 > any value between < 0x0F, 0x5F" and in 370 line "0x11, 0x59" I tried : "0x11, 0x00 > any value between < Infinite" Soo.. I hope that you can help, because if this board work in PAL-m like is working in NTSC and this last cvs driver.. Huu!!! I will be happy.. so much.. Thanks again..

Around line 363 in saa7110.c, you'll find all the settings that are being made for setting the current norm. The best thing I can think of is to just test out various settings. It's only 3 bytes (3x8=24 settings). http://www-us.semiconductors.philips.com/acrobat/datasheets/SAA7110_A_1.pdf is the datasheet of the chip, the meaning of above bytes are explained in page 31.This is really all I can think of, I don't have any way of testing this. > The question.. I need to change something in xawtv to? Nope. Xawtv knows nothing about colors. It just tells the driver what to do. > Just a relevant idea to the zoran coders if them read this list.. Well, the zoran coders won't be on this list (the guys that created these chipsets). The driver developers are on this list, I'm one of them. ;-). > Why not when code this drivers put all systems possible or do patches > for this.. Because I don't have any way of testing it. I only have PAL (-B) here. There's no way I can test even SECAM or NTSC, let alone PAL-M or other exotic TV-signal flavours.
