Oh. Now that's odd. MJPEG sort of works, but xawtv doesn't. I assumed that if xawtv didn't work MJPEG wouldn't. OK, so xawtv is broken. MJPEG doesn't look too clever either - I got 3 seconds of capture from lavrec then "Error syncing on a buffer". But the 3 seconds looked good!
