From ddb, does 'boot reboot' not work?
You can set 'kern.nosuidcoredump' in /etc/sysctl.conf to save core
dumps from in /var/crash. Then try using 'boot dump' in ddb.
You need to be patient. On some systems the reboot will happen within a
few minutes, but on others it might take a half hour or so to reboot.
Perhaps I've not been patient enough. It took a few minutes before the
'bge0: PHY read timed out' came and I guess I waited less than 10
minutes total.
