Actually, I know what I'm asking for.
I want to manipulate and inject packets from kernel space. Not via bpf and userland.
I want to load up an LKM and don't patch all over the src.

Last I checked, OpenBSD lacked what I needed(OSX does not), so this is why I'm asking.
I'm asking a clear interface to work with.

Don't ever talk to me like that, before you done your research.

So, what are you asking for?

For OpenBSD to adopt the Mac OS X mbuf interface (or "KPI")?

What is the deficiency in the OpenBSD mbuf interface that you see?

What function do you need? For what application?

Most of the Mac OS X "mbuf KPI" is the same as the OpenBSD mbuf interface, just with different function names. In some cases there are new functions that OpenBSD doesn't have, and handles differently. But I suspect you don't even know what you're asking for.

Hello,
Is <subject> something "nice to have"/on TODO-list?
If not, what are the reasons for not having it?
