Hi, I reported this issue on a tech@ (i think) a while back and it still seems to exist. I hope here on misc, I might reach more users with Sun systems.
When using X11 on my system, after a while keys will begin to "stick", as if they are being held down, even though I am not touching the keyboard. It makes the system unusable in X, and also makes the system slow, I guess dealing with all those keyboard interrupts. I ruled out the possibility of a hardware fault with: a) Same happening with a new KB/mouse. b) Not happening on Solaris 10 on same system. I was really hoping to take this machine with me to my next Univeristy, but it seems a non-X11 system for everyday use is a bit unrealistic :( Has anyone seen this or got any idea what could be happening? I suspect a bug in the tty or ffb driver, which I believe are quite tightly integrated on Sun systems (?). I am no expert, just guessing. I did not get this problem on an Ultra 10, when I owned one. DMESG attached.
