Ok.I will try it,but for -stable is this workaround useful.

Please save everyone time and try a snapshot. It includes a major update to the ATI driver to 6.9.0, the version 6.6.3 you use now is a couple of years old (2006). (It looks likely that you use 6.8.0 on Mandriva). I imagine X developers will not be too interested in looking at this unless you can repeat it with -current.
