steve, thanks for the hint, but
we ran the HP offline diags (V7.7 and newest V7.9) on both machines.
Unfortunately diag does not provide any test for the SAS1068 itself. One
can only do a direct disk access test which runs fine on both machines.
Even doing an upgrade of the LSI controller firmware did not change
anything. As said 4.1 is perfectly able to access the disk, only 4.2 and
4.3 fail.
Any ideas?
