well, I could have sworn k3 needs libcdio, but it's not listed in
the requirements.

as far as libcdio goes, [EMAIL PROTECTED] hacked support for NetBSD
and put it in the pkgsrc files for libcdio under a 2 clause BSD
license.  I asked Rocky to add his to libcdio, but he said he couldn't
because the license was "incompatible" for GNU projects.  anyway,
we got that straightened out, but he has made no moves to add it
(there have been 2 releases since then).  I told him I would
be more than willing to help/test/whatever.  nothing.  it's just
pointless IMO to try to maintain a port when you get the run around
or ignored upstream.

well, Joerg (Schilling/cdrtools) is known to be "difficult".  he
doesn't like that people have hacked cdrecord to work with DVDs.

yeah, that's the easiest way to go.  I'll see about getting k3b
ported, if it really doesn't require libcdio.
