Depends who "we" is - personally I don't have time nor access to much new hardware (the servers I see usually come via ebay), and (apart from the Fujitsu-Siemens I had which doesn't reboot properly which I mentioned here recently, possibly connected with moving i386 to timecounters) they "just work"<tm>. >From recent misc@ posts, some of the Intel server boards look a bit tricky at the moment, nothing else really stands out. > Maybe patches to the FAQ... That might be seen as official recommendations for particular hardware and it's just not possible to test things well enough to do that. Even if all the manufacturers did start sending OpenBSD developers all their new hardware to get it checked out I don't think anyone has time for that. Of the two mentioned (HP/IBM) my *general* impression has been: new HP models often need workarounds for problems (may also apply to Sun) but they mostly work. There isn't much discussion of IBM, I think they are quite a lot less common, it's a bit hard to get a clear picture. There don't seem to be many problems mentioned on misc@ with Dell machines, seems they *gasp* might actually try booting OpenBSD on their hardware themselves.
