I'm running 4.1-stable (acpi enabled) on a normal macbook (no pro).

I have only tested 1280x800 with 915resolution from port - runs fine
here. Graphic Card and OS X does not support more I think - macbook
PRO should do more of course.

because non-apple hardware is cheaper and you maybe get a working
wireless. i know a lot of people who would prefer a ibm thinkpad
over a macbook.
