Yup, very similar; I was responsible for a few e250's at my last job. The 250 has six internal bays versus twenty on the 450 (four by default, and then an additional eight with each disk expansion board) and two power supplies instead of three. The 450 also has more PCI slots and is easier to service IMHO. You think the 250 is heavy, try the 450.
