Perhaps a cd- or bsd.rd-based upgrade can do 3.6 -> 3.9 but I haven't tried and won't. AFAIK, skipping releases is unsupported, but maybe I've been reading the upgrade guides one too many times and has this -unsuspectingly- become my new mantra. If it's a remotely managed machine, try following the aforementioned upgrade guides. DON'T skip releases in that case! HTH... Nico
