I'm American and I was not offended. Yes, generalizing is usually a bad thing, but in this case, unfortunately, too many Americans are guilty. I did not feel he was showing hatred of any sort. He was just pointing out an unfortunate tendency of too many Americans. I'm sure Theo has many friends who are American.
