Hi! Yet another one of those weird things. HP Compaq dc5100, a couple thousand km away from me, I've got a KVM/IP and a 3.9 cd stuck in the drive.
Installed -release, rebooted, cvs'd to 3.9-stable, built GENERIC.RAID, rebooted. GENERIC.RAID = GENERIC + option RAID_AUTOCONFIG + pseudo device raid 4. The boot stops at biomask e7fd netmask effd ttymask ffff pctr: user-level cycle counter enabled Kernelized RAIDframe activated and hangs here until the on-site person reboots it. I still have console scrollback at that point. Where should I start looking? I noticed that "biomask..." line is slightly different from the GENERIC kernel. Does anybody see anything peculiar in this dmesg? Thanks, Mitja OpenBSD 3.9 (GENERIC) #617: Thu Mar 2 02:26:48 MST 2006 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/usr/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/GENERIC cpu0: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz ("GenuineIntel" 686-class) 3 GHz cpu0: FPU,V86,DE,PSE,TSC,MSR,PAE,MCE,CX8,SEP,MTRR,PGE,MCA,CMOV,PAT,PSE36,CFLUSH,AC PI,MMX,FXSR,SSE,SSE2,SS,HTT,TM,SBF,SSE3,MWAIT,EST,CNXT-ID cpu0: Enhanced SpeedStep disabled by BIOS real mem = 3212353536 (3137064K) avail mem = 2923577344 (2855056K) using 4278 buffers containing 160718848 bytes (156952K) of memory mainbus0 (root) bios0 at mainbus0: AT/286+(5f) BIOS, date 08/25/05, BIOS32 rev. 0 @ 0xeb520 pcibios0 at bios0: rev 2.2 @ 0xeb520/0x4ae0 pcibios0: PCI IRQ Routing Table rev 1.0 @ 0xf4c00/256 (14 entries) pcibios0: PCI Interrupt Router at 000:31:0 ("Intel 82801FB LPC" rev 0x00) pcibios0: PCI bus #3 is the last bus bios0: ROM list: 0xc0000/0xa800! 0xca800/0x1000 0xcb800/0x2000 0xdd600/0xc800! cpu0 at mainbus0 pci0 at mainbus0 bus 0: configuration mode 1 (no bios) pchb0 at pci0 dev 0 function 0 "Intel 82915G/P/GV Host" rev 0x04 vga1 at pci0 dev 2 function 0 "Intel 82915G/P/GV Video" rev 0x04: aperture at 0xcfd00000, size 0x10000000 wsdisplay0 at vga1 mux 1: console (80x25, vt100 emulation) wsdisplay0: screen 1-5 added (80x25, vt100 emulation) ppb0 at pci0 dev 28 function 0 "Intel 82801FB PCIE" rev 0x03 pci1 at ppb0 bus 1 ppb1 at pci0 dev 28 function 1 "Intel 82801FB PCIE" rev 0x03 pci2 at ppb1 bus 2 bge0 at pci2 dev 0 function 0 "Broadcom BCM5751" rev 0x01, BCM5750 A1 (0x4001): irq 5, address 00:16:35:79:a0:29 brgphy0 at bge0 phy 1: BCM5750 10/100/1000baseT PHY, rev. 0 ppb2 at pci0 dev 30 function 0 "Intel 82801BA AGP" rev 0xd3 pci3 at ppb2 bus 3 ichpcib0 at pci0 dev 31 function 0 "Intel 82801FB LPC" rev 0x03: PM disabled pciide0 at pci0 dev 31 function 1 "Intel 82801FB IDE" rev 0x03: DMA, channel 0 configured to compatibility, channel 1 configured to compatibility atapiscsi0 at pciide0 channel 0 drive 0 scsibus0 at atapiscsi0: 2 targets cd0 at scsibus0 targ 0 lun 0: <HL-DT-ST, DVDRRW GWA-4166B, 1.03> SCSI0 5/cdrom removable cd0(pciide0:0:0): using PIO mode 4, Ultra-DMA mode 3 pciide0: channel 1 disabled (no drives) pciide1 at pci0 dev 31 function 2 "Intel 82801FB SATA" rev 0x03: DMA, channel 0 configured to native-PCI, channel 1 configured to native-PCI pciide1: using irq 5 for native-PCI interrupt wd0 at pciide1 channel 0 drive 0: <WDC WD800JD-60LSA0> wd0: 16-sector PIO, LBA48, 76319MB, 156301488 sectors wd0(pciide1:0:0): using PIO mode 4, Ultra-DMA mode 5 wd1 at pciide1 channel 1 drive 0: <Maxtor 6L080M0> wd1: 16-sector PIO, LBA48, 76319MB, 156301488 sectors wd1(pciide1:1:0): using PIO mode 4, Ultra-DMA mode 5 ichiic0 at pci0 dev 31 function 3 "Intel 82801FB SMBus" rev 0x03: irq 5 iic0 at ichiic0 isa0 at ichpcib0 isadma0 at isa0 pckbc0 at isa0 port 0x60/5 pckbd0 at pckbc0 (kbd slot) pckbc0: using irq 1 for kbd slot wskbd0 at pckbd0: console keyboard, using wsdisplay0 pmsi0 at pckbc0 (aux slot) pckbc0: using irq 12 for aux slot wsmouse0 at pmsi0 mux 0 pcppi0 at isa0 port 0x61 midi0 at pcppi0: <PC speaker> spkr0 at pcppi0 lpt0 at isa0 port 0x378/4 irq 7 npx0 at isa0 port 0xf0/16: using exception 16 pccom0 at isa0 port 0x3f8/8 irq 4: ns16550a, 16 byte fifo fdc0 at isa0 port 0x3f0/6 irq 6 drq 2 biomask ef6d netmask ef6d ttymask ffef pctr: user-level cycle counter enabled dkcsum: wd0 matches BIOS drive 0x80 wd1: no disk label dkcsum: wd1 matches BIOS drive 0x81 root on wd0a rootdev=0x0 rrootdev=0x300 rawdev=0x302
