Well the installing wasn't the problem, I knew I could use sets and move the
firmware to a drive to install offline or use ethernet, I just thought whatever
issues I had in the installer with bwfm0 would be there post-install, that's
why I tried to get it working in the installer bsd.rd first.

It's only got 2 thunderbolt ports and an audio jack so I'm using a
usb-c hub with
ethernet.

That the bsd.rd kernel panics when you try to use bwfm0, at least in the
installer for some users but works fine after the install.
I don't understand how you could've missed this if you actually read my previous
response.
