In some cases similar symptoms are due to "fcc lock" not being unlocked correctly though this "sometimes it works after a reboot" doesn't sound quite like that. >> *P.S.* The device has a single LTE module but dual SIM slots. That probably doesn't help, such devices usually need a gpio toggling (and maybe a modem reset) to change the slot. Does it work in umsm mode? Do you _have_ to use mbim?
