Dear Filip,

I use a 2.5in USB-SATA connector and it works well with
OpenBSD 7.6-current. It's just a cheapie model I bought off AliE. In
the hope it helps, I popped the adapter open to see what chipset it
is. The QR Code on the board translated to `XT-HAOJAG-578-v8pck-2571`.
In `dmesg` it shows up as:

>umass0 at uhub0 port 1 configuration 1 interface 0 "JMS578-A Best USB
>Device" rev 2.10/41.01 addr 9

Doing a websearch it seems the JMS578 is a very broadly recommended
controller chipset.

I hope this helps.

With very best wishes,

requiem.
