That is sad, really, but a reality.

I am not aware 100% of the person that is RMS, but I know that he said some
stuff that is the utmost level of controversy for 99.999% of people, but I do
agree with him on lots of stuff he said/wrote, including some stuff that he
took back.

What is however hilarious is that I don't consider GNU software readable or in
other words reviewable, etc.
Why? Because it's too enormous to be grasped by a single person in order to do
code audits.
An exact opposite approach to GNU, while being open source, is: Suckless and
their philosophy [1].

So I love the guy, but if you ask me, he could have done way better...
I do not know where we would be without him, but he is not
