The software product brought to you by the people with a FAQ containing this answer: To support remote rendering you need to define a rendering API, which is something I've been very careful to avoid doing. followed by this question: Why wasn't D-Bus used instead of the Wayland IPC mechanism? and then finally this answer: The alternative is to write a Wayland specific GL binding API, say, WaylandGL.
