In fact I think softraid logging is fine and your RAID5 is for whatever reason being assigned as sd7 but fails on missing chunk. The problem may arrise from the StoreJet USB device you have attached. If you unplug this then perhaps your RAID1 will become sd6 and your RAID5 will become sd7 and you may see it and make attempt to rebuilt it.
