Why encrypt anything? Just run it through a VPN! Who needs SSH when you can run telnet over a VPN? It completely protects the connection! Well, except for the endpoint from the VPN to the destination server. And the VPN provider itself can listen to or spoof whatever he wants. But hey, who cares about that?
