please cut the trolling. the problem is not, whether or not blowfish is secure enough. the problem is that you HAVE NO FUCKING IDEA what you are talking about, category-wise. you can't tell why blowfish could be bad. you can't tell which one would be better, because you don't know why. you can't suggest a design in which one could pull one crypto and use another, let alone implementing it.
and no, combining crypto on top of each other doesn't make it more secure per se. right now threats to our data is _not_ weak algorithms, it is sometimes weak implementations (think e.g. OS X file vault), and much more important, it is rubberhose cryptoanalysis and social reasons which won't be solved technically. --knitti
